Modern Aurora Outfits

Aurora
Better known as Sleeping Beauty, Aurora's story is iconic! She was one of the first original princesses! She has her own castle at Disneyland! She is obviously a very big deal! I had to do her outfits justice! I had a blast doing them, and I think they turned out fantastic!

Aurora Casual
This outfit is so cute originally. I had so much fun making it modern! I think both versions are so cute and both would look so good on her! I love that she is wearing this in the forrest, it helped me with making the new one forrest appropriate :).

  • Outfit-
    • I think Aurora’s original outfit is so cute! I tried to stay fairly close to the original! Some outfits just need to be recognized without a description! I really loved this top! It was so cute and reminded me of the original! I love the neckline of this one and the sleeve length. The crop top is great because I chose a high waist skirt. This skirt looks so cute and even more cute with the top! The material looks really comfy and I think it would flare out fairly far if she twirled. I chose this vest because she could wear it a few different ways. If it just hung down like it is in the picture I think it would add a more relaxed look to the outfit. If she pulled it up and tied it around her waist I think it would make the outfit look more put together. I tried to keep those items as close to the original colors as I could! I really couldn’t have her running around barefoot, so I gave her some thin tan sandals. That way if she did want to take them off it wouldn’t be hard, and she wouldn’t have a lot of shoes on in the first place. I think these fit her style very well. They look well with the outfit too!
  • Accessories-
    • Purse- I liked this purse because it looked a little older and matched the style of the outfit! The sling would make it easier for her to carry and put anything cool she finds in it as well! Or if she decided to actually take her shoes off she could fit them in it as well. But I really just think this fits her style.
    • Jewelry- I chose simple jewelry for this outfit. I liked the earrings a lot because I liked the shape and the black. I think they would look striking compared to her hair and really stand out! Same with the necklace. It is such a different design and I loved that! It would hang well on her neck and look great with the neckline of the shirt.
  • Beauty-
    • Hair- I love her original hairstyle so I tried to find something similar! I love what I found! The layers in the hair would frame her face so well! And that headband! So flipping cute! I love that it ties at the top of her head and looks almost like bunny ears! It is perfect!
    • Eyes- I really loved this subtle makeup. The natural colors in the eye shadow, but those lashes are seriously fabulous! I love them! I think it is something very nice and subtle that would make her violet eyes stick out so much!
    • Lips- I really wanted her to have a nude lip. This woman was raised by fairies and spent her time in the forrest, I don’t think she would be focused to much on the color of her lips. But that said, it is still a beautiful color and would look fantastic on her!
    • Nails- I really liked this nice light nude color for the nails, I think it is very nice and would look great with her overall outfit! I really think it is a very elegant and beautiful color.
Aurora Pink and Blue Dress
I decided to combine both the blue and pink dress. They were the same dress just different colors and I didn't want to make two identical sets with just different colors. I chose to make both of them in one set. I really like the outcome of this idea! It is very different and I think that is why it works! It looks as though the fairies are in the middle of changing her dress color!

  •  Outfit-
    • Since I decided to combine the two dresses, I had to find a dress that looked like they were combined. I was so happy with this dress because it literally looked like it was one dress fading into the next! I love it! I like how big the dress is too, she would look great twirling around the dance floor in it! I think this is such a perfect modern dress and I am in love with the colors! If the outfit was in the middle of changing colors, and the bottom of the dress was pink, her shoes would have had to be pink too. Because the color of the shoes was also changing. That is why I gave her pink shoes. I think these shoes are very plain (other than being bright pink) and that is why I love them. Aurora didn’t have crazy shoes originally, she doesn’t need anything crazy now either!
  • Accessories-
    • Purse- I put a mix of pink and blue into the accessories. So I chose a blue clutch. I really loved this clutch. I thought it had a different shape and design! Plus it is super cute!
    • Jewelry- I had a mix of jewelry here. Let’s start with the blue. All the jewelry is a certain stone then surrounded by diamonds. I really thought that looked very nice and gave a uniform to the different cuts! The earrings are pretty plain in shape compared to the other jewelry but I loved that. They would stand out very well against her hair! I absolutely love the shape of the necklace! I think it is so pretty and so different! The bracelet is so beautiful! I think it would look amazing on her and give the set just a little something extra! I like the ring because it gives just a pop of pink against all the blue jewelry and I love that! And it just looks so pretty! I did give her a tiara, and picking one out was very hard. I chose this one because it was the closest one I could find that resembled her original one! I chose a silver one instead of gold because all of her other jewelry is silver. I really love the shape of this crown too.
  • Beauty-
    • Hair- Aurora has very beautiful hair and I love the curls at the end! I chose this style because it was very sleek and I love the slight hint of curls at the ends of her hair. There is so much going on in this outfit. I didn’t want her hair to be to much. I really do love this style and think it is absolutely perfect for this outfit.
    • Eyes- I chose this makeup because its blue and fades to pink! I think the colors are so vibrant and I love that! She would totally pull this look off! The eyelashes look very full and thick as well which I think would break up the colors enough not to look over the top when she opens her eyes!
    • Lips- I loved this pink lip! It is so pretty! So girly and I think just perfect! The gloss is just the right amount and the color is very very pretty!
    • Nails- These nails are so flipping gorgeous! They look like she has magic in her fingertips! With such a magical outfit I think they fit in perfectly! I love how subtle these nails would be from afar and then when you get up close it’s BOOM! Look at me! :) Seriously perfect!

I started to do these outfits because I love the Disney Princesses! I was just inspired one day about what their outfits would look like now days... Plus you can't always throw on a ballgown to dress in the Disney fashion, but I think these outfits give you the option to be in the style of Disney without looking like you are wearing a costume! I love these outfits, but they can be interpreted in anyway, and that's how I wanted it to be. So if anyone liked them, they could find stuff in their own closets that matched in a similar way! I did every Disney Princess I could think of, and ALL of their outfits (from the original movies, no sequels...yet...)!

P.S. The links under the outfits are direct links to my Polyvore where I made the outfits! <3
