Modern Wendy Outfits

Wendy
Like Alice, Wendy isn't technically a princess, but she is still such a big character. I think she is so smart and so wonderful in Peter Pan! She is such an iconic Disney character and she could not be left out of this series!

Wendy Casual
I really like Wendy's outfit. Technically she is in pajamas, but I made this a casual outfit. Which is super awesome because it really does look like she is in a casual outfit! I mean who goes to bed looking that cute! Her hair is done too! But same that I said with Alice, I took an 18+ approach to her outfit!

  • Outfits-
    • Even though Wendy is wearing her pajamas throughout the movie, her dress doesn’t necessarily look like a nightgown. So I decided to take the direction of a casual dress. I really like the material of this dress, it looks pretty light weight and would probably be more comfortable for exploring Neverland! I liked that the waist flared out, just like her original dress! It is obviously much shorter than her original, but I think that is what helps to modernize this dress. I like the thin straps at the top and the sort-of sweet heart neck line. Where it is bunched together at the top I think gives it something a little extra! I liked Wendy’s plain dark blue slippers in the original outfit, so I decided to keep them in this one! I think they look very well with the dress and ties more of the old outfit into this one!
  • Accessories-
    • Purse- When exploring Neverland you really don’t want to have to carry a purse around, so I gave her a backpack. I really love this backpack, I think it looks so nice but also so casual! I chose to match the color to the shoes, just to tie in some more of that pretty dark blue into the outfit!
    • Jewelry- Ok so I am in love with that fairy bracelet and have got to have it! I thought it was so cute and so perfect for this outfit! I love that it has more blue in it! I think it is something Wendy would really love! Obviously I had to incorporate a kiss (thimble) into the outfit! And this cute little necklace is so perfect it’s crazy! I love how simple it is! I think it is perfect for this outfit and perfect for Wendy!
  • Beauty-
    • Hair- I really like Wendy’s original hair, so I tried to keep the modern one pretty similar! I made her hair a lot longer and pulled it back. I love the style of this hair! Pulling those strands back in that way just adds something so subtle and so amazing to the hairstyle!
    • Eyes- I chose this pallet because I didn’t think she needed anything to crazy going on with her eyes. I think this nude pallet would look great on her and accompany the outfit very well!
    • Lips- I really loved this lipstick! I think that vibrant color would look so good on her! The contrast between that color and all the other colors in this set would look amazing! It would bring out that amazing smile she has!
    • Nails- I chose this color mainly because it matched the dress. I think it would look amazing on her and look great overall! Yes I personally love and own this color, but it doesn’t stop it from looking as amazing as it does in this set! I think that pretty blue looks amazing and reminds me of Neverland!

I started to do these outfits because I love the Disney Princesses! I was just inspired one day about what their outfits would look like now days... Plus you can't always throw on a ballgown to dress in the Disney fashion, but I think these outfits give you the option to be in the style of Disney without looking like you are wearing a costume! I love these outfits, but they can be interpreted in anyway, and that's how I wanted it to be. So if anyone liked them, they could find stuff in their own closets that matched in a similar way! I did every Disney Princess I could think of, and ALL of their outfits (from the original movies, no sequels...yet...)!

P.S. The links under the outfits are direct links to my Polyvore where I made the outfits! <3
